The kids flew the coop

Jessica and Pixel were seated at a low table in the middle of a food stand area while Laura and Shampoo were seated at another table nearby. The human girl and Kirlia were talking quietly when Tendi returned to the table with her arms full. “Well here are some boxes of apple juice, two packets of chocolate chip cookies, and two honey bars. Sorry Pixel, there wasn't any oran or belue berry food in the replicator’s database.”

Pixel bowed her head slightly. “Kirlia kiiirlia.”

“Hey! We are plenty civilized.” Pixel looked at her sort of sister in confusion before she made it clear that she had been joking about being trapped with uncultured people.

“I bet there are plenty of those berries back home?” Pixel shrugged at Tendi’s question while Jessica unwrapped a honey bar.

“Lia irrrlia.”

“The best ones are imported from Pokemon type universes? What are those?”

“Kirlia Kirliiiia.”

“Ohh, universes where Pokemon naturally exist, right. Pretty obvious huh,” Tendi rubbed her neck briefly once she realized that Pixel wasn’t going to continue. She looked between Jessica and Pixel, thinking of other questions or topics to talk about. Meanwhile, Pixel boredly used telekinesis to punch her straw through her juice box and slurped loudly.

Jessica finished the honey bar and seemed to make a decision. “Hey Pixel, auntie Tendi is like a former but still awesome pirate queen assassin superspy. Maybe she can help?”

Tendi’s eyes narrowed. “Help with what exactly?”

“Kirl Kirliaa llia.”

“I’m not a narc,” Tendi immediately declared before inquiring. “What’s a narc?”

“A snitch,” Laura explained after taking a drink from a mug she found. Tendi gave the child-sized pokemon an unimpressed look.

“It depends on what the two of you are planning.”

“We are gonna go save mom and dad!” Jessica declared loudlyPeople around the food stalls murmured, overhearing the outburst. Jessica covered her mouth as the crowd slowly turned their attention back to whatever they were doing before. Pixel facepalmed while Shampoo shook her head and Laura rolled her eyes affectionately.

Jessica withered under Tendi’s stare before the ensign sighed and raised her hand to her face. “Jessica, this isn’t like Vargia 3 or Derr 6. The Borg are too dangerous for you to go off on an ‘adventure’. You heard the admiral, we are going to do our best to save them. Believe in StarFleet.”

“Kirlia, kirliaa kir~” Pixel sighed.

“She can’t be a narc if she’s in on it,” Jessica declared before pointing at Pixel. “Teleport to the ship like you told me!” Pixel let out an annoyed huff but did as Jessica said.

“What do you mean–?” Tendi blinked and the next second she, Jessica, Pixel, Laura, and Shampoo were suddenly standing in the middle of what looked like a half trashed ice cream parlor. “Why are we in the middle of the Fohlich shop?”

“It was the closest ship that Pixel knew the inside of,” Jessica explained as she and Pixel ran up a flight of stairs as the adults followed them. Pixel quickly threw a Shadow Ball at a shuffling Borg, throwing them out an open window. Thankfully the room they found themselves in was the actual bridge. Pixel jumped in the captain’s seat and started pressing random buttons. After the windshield wipers turned on and the music changed channels a dozen times, the windows finally all closed and the ship turned airtight and space worthy.

As the ship shook and retore the hole in the convention center, Tendi struggled to get to Pixel and the ship’s controls. “Jessica! I can’t let you go charge the Borg Cube like a maniac! Mariner would never forgive me if you get assimilated or worse. I won’t forgive myself!”

“Kirlia kirlia,” Pixel waved off her concern. Pixel was confident would be able to get Jessica out any jam if need be, she’s gotten James and whichever girlfriend/mate of his at the time out of worse situations before.

“Give me those controls!” Tendi ordered as the ship stabilized and left the convention center, flying into the sky after clipping a nearby building. She dove at Pixel only to get stopped as Pixel’s eyes glowed blue.

“Kirlia kiirr Kirlia la,” Pixel said to Jessica who was in the first officer seat.

“Fiiiine,” Jessica grabbed some seeds from one of the flower crowns she had and threw them at Tendi. The seeds quickly sprouted into vines that quickly wrapped around Tendi and restrained her, binding her arms in front of her and tying them to her neck and her legs were bound together. She was left wiggling helplessly in midair. “I’ll let you go when we’re in.”

“You are going to be in so much trouble when I get out of this!” Tendi yelled before Pixel dropped her on the ground. Tendi rolled around and strained to touch her comlink. “Captain Freeman! Jessica and her dad’s friends are taking the Fohlich ship to try—” Pixel’s eyes glowed as she used Psychic to take the combadge off and throw it to Jessica.”

“What! Stop th—” Jessica raised the combadge to her mouth.

“Bye grandma! We’re going to save mom and dad! We’ll be back for dinner okay!”

“Young lady you turn that ship around or—” Jessica ended the call as the ship flew over the villa district and slowed down. “What are you doing?”

“Kir lia li li ia Kirlia,” Pixel declared before Teleporting away.

“But you are getting, and she’s gone,” Jessica looked at the empty captain’s seat and ship controls.

“Don’t even think about it kid,” Laura said as she tried to understand some of the readouts on a screen and ignoring the beeping console.

“But who is she going to get? We need to go save my mama!”

“Good friends of ours,” Shampoo replied while cleaning a tonfa that Jessica had no idea where she got it from. Just then Pixel reappeared with several individuals who immediately complained about their sudden Teleport.
