The journey ends without incident

Jasmine looked up at the clear blue sky above the ship. She enjoyed staring at the clouds and examining them. Unfortunately right now there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky and there was little else she could do until the ship reached its destination. Then two of the other passengers attracted her attention. Two men, one of which was talking to the other and pointing at something. The harper looked in the direction the man was pointing… and suddenly got worried.

Dark, almost black, clouds could be seen in the distance. They were moving in the same direction as the ship, slowly getting closer to it. Several other passengers noticed the ominous-looking clouds, and started pointing at them. Soon everyone had noticed the potential threat, and many started wondering if the ship will survive a storm such as the one headed their way. Some were sure it would be fine, but most were doubtful…

Then a bearded man holding a staff stood up and moved to the center of the ship. Firmly holding the staff with both hands he started chanting quietly. Soon a young girl joined him, followed by a handsome elf wearing a robe. Both joined the older man in his chanting and soon the winds propelling the ship started blowing much stronger. “The Queen of the Seas” sped up, leaving the worrisome clouds far behind. When they felt their job was finished the two men and the girl returned to their places while many passengers thanked them or congratulated them.

Jasmine let out a sigh of relief. According to what she had heard storms like that were often caused by mischievous Elementals, and so while the ship and everyone on board would probably survive they wouldn’t get away with just getting soaked by the storm. The young harper was glad that she would not get a chance to find out what the storm would bring them.

The rest of the trip went without incident and at last Jasmine saw the port in the distance. Veeris was one of Mayfairia’s largest ports, and also one of its main trade centers. Many things could be found there, and also many different races. The young harper hoped that in this city she would have better luck with her lovers. Just the thought aroused her and she was ready to get off before the ship had stopped, feeling more excited than she had been in months.
