This world that the human empire had recently discovered was filled with animals that were just like the ones back on earth, but with the major difference that they were sentient like humans, capable of speech, culture, and even holding societies. They had managed to live in a society where they were in harmony and peace, and nobody was treated as inferior to any other... it was disgusting that humans clearly needed to teach them how inferior they were, and how meaningless what they had accomplished had been.
