The guard believes Qar

"It looks like your daughter forgot something." The guard commented.

Princess Casandra's jaw dropped. He thought she was this man's daughter?! She was 20! How old did they think that she was?

"Oh, she was dressed when we left the house, but she shed her robes immediately." Qar lied. "You know children."

"Well, the sun is viscous today!" The guard said, grinning at the mortified princess. "So I suggest getting her cute little backside into shade as soon as you can!"

Qar waved in a friendly manner as the camel trotted out of the gates. Cassandra was totally shocked and utterly humiliated. The thief's lie had worked: that guard actually thought she was a mere child! Seeing her naked and he thought she was that young... the realization cracked her royal ego as they headed out of the city...
