The sisters, despite the lateness of their return to the hotel, were still able to get a decent amount of sleep, even if only because of how exhausted they were. They both ended up waking up in the late afternoon, which gave them a bit of time before they had to head to Junior's.
It's a good thing that they had that time too, as Ruby's attention was brought to a rather serious issue for a Huntress.
"Um, Yang, I think I need to find a cobbler."
The blonde looked over from where she'd been contemplating her outfit for the day in her underwear. "What's wrong, Ruby, have your boots got a hole?"
"No, I uh, am down to my last pair..."
"Wait, how did-oh, right..."
While the girls had been losing clothing consistently, they'd both been avoiding thinking about the fact that neither of their wardrobes were infinite, and it appeared that Ruby was going to be the one who first fell afoul of that fact, as she was down to her last pair of Combat Boots, which so happened to be the last pair of footwear that she owned...
Now, Ruby saw nothing wrong with wearing Combat Boots with casual clothes, but at this point, she knew that if she didn't take steps, she'd be without Boots entirely for the Initiation the day after tomorrow.
"Well, I'm sure that we can find a place to get you another pair of boots, Rubes, but do you have any of your allowance left? Because as much as I'd like to help you out, I'm just about broke, and I think that we're both going to have to spend a decent portion of it re-supplying our wardrobes when Dad sends it again in two weeks..."
Ruby checked her scroll, "I've got a decent amount left, but I don't think I'll be able to get more than one new pair of boots. B-but that should be fine, right? After we pass initiation, they'll give us some uniforms and we can use those until we can afford new clothes!"
Both girls were well aware of the fact that if they didn't hurry up their repayment, they might end up short of even those uniforms, but neither voiced it aloud. They simply got dressed and were able to find a local cobbler who was open and able to get Ruby another pair of Combat Boots.
