The girls' track team

Eric immediately dove behind a brick pillar that supported a balcony above him, and cursed at himself. "You idiot, what the hell were you thinking? You should have hidden behind the stair well, so you didn't lock yourself outside!" Eric thought to himself, as he glanced at the key ring. There were an obscene amount of keys, and only three had labels. "Classroom, House, Car" Eric read aloud to himself. He figured his teacher had a key that would open a lock to the doors on the school, but it could take several minutes of testing to find the right key. Eric sighed to himself, as he started fiddling with the keys in his hands. Suddenly, a loud whistle caught his attention.

"Caroline, that's your slowest lap all day! I know you have more in you than that!" A loud, feminine voice boomed. Eric glanced past the pillar, and caught sight of a small group of girls panting at the last curve of the track which rounded the football field. He instantly became self-conscious, and did his best to conceal himself behind the brick while continuing to observe the scene. One odd sight caught his attention. Out of the group of around eight girls gathered around the bend, all but one with short, blonde hair were dressed in the expected T-Shirt and athletic shorts. The girl in question was dressed scantily in a black sports bra, and black bottoms which hovered between the line of bikini briefs and boy-shorts. Coach Tina was slowly approaching the less dressed girl, who was hunched over and breathing heavy.

"Girls, wrap it up and hit the showers. Caroline, walk with me for a minute." Coach Tina directed, pointing towards the girls shower area. The gaggle of girls jogged their way off the track, and into the visitor locker room for the field.

Caroline and her coach slowly paced towards Eric's position. He quickly ducked behind the pillar, and prayed that the two weren't going for the door near him.

"Look, I'm well aware that the heat really gets to you, but your times have done nothing but move up as the temperatures roll down. This isn't like you. Not to mention your grades are starting to slip into dangerous territory. The vice-principal came to me this morning saying that if you didn't pull your grades up in a few weeks, that I would have to cut you."

Caroline gasped at the mention of the last part, and spoke up in a timid voice. "Please, I just need a few more days. There's a test on Monday, that should pull my History grade up. Please. Don't tell my mom my grades are slipping again, or she'll..."

Caroline trailed off, her voice losing volume as she reached the end of her sentence. Coach Tina sighed. "I don't plan on talking to her about it. But she will find out sooner or later. She's a teacher. She's probably going to find out soon, but I'll stick up for you the best I can."

"She already told me what she would do next time if my grades slipped again this year. She said she would make me run... without my underwear..."

Coach Tina was about to comfort Caroline, when the door behind Eric suddenly burst open. Eric glanced behind him, and breathed a slight sigh of relief when he noticed it was Mrs. Jackson.

"Carey! How was practice?" She questioned. Eric quickly put two and two together, and his mouth gaped wide with shock. "Caroline is Mrs. Jackson's daughter?"
