The ghost reveals itself

June lowered her arm to her side. That was when she felt a hand brush against her hair.

"Who's there?" She turned around. No one was there.

Suddenly, she felt a chill, like a gust of cool air blew over her. Looking around, she couldn't see any source for the chill.

Ri-i-i-p! June gasped as her blouse suddenly came open, the fabric ripping and buttons flying off in all directions. Then it felt like someone was pulling on her blouse, trying to tug it off her completely. June slipped her arms out of the sleeves and let it fall to the floor, where it . . .

vanished. There was no other way to say it. June watched her probably ruined blouse fall to the floor, but it never touched the ground. Just like that, it was gone.

Before June could react, she felt hands tugging at the buttons on her skirt, although, once again, no one was there. Then her skirt ripped down the side and fell to the floor, where it, too, vanished.

"Yes," June said. She stepped out of her high-heeled shoes, with the excuse that she couldn't run in them.

Now dressed only in a lacy little bra and barely adequate thong, June waited for the ghost to continue.
