The food court

The group headed to the food court, one of the busiest areas of the mall. There were a dozen open air food vendors, with an area of tables to eat at in the middle.

"Nathan and I will get us food." Charlotte said.

She left Lauren with the group of Charlotte's friends. Former cheerleaders and Lauren's rivals, who were all looking at her, snickering, and whispering amongst each other. Lauren blushed and averted her eyes, unaware that several of the girls were snapping photos of her humiliating new look

A short while later Charlotte and Nathan returned. The group headed over to a table. Lauren reluctantly came along. She no longer had her wallet or keys, her car was at her apartment and she had no money. Like it or not she was stuck with them! Reluctantly Lauren sat at the table.

Charlotte passed out salad's all around to the other girls while Nathan began eating a burger. Then, with a huge smile Charlotte handed Lauren her meal. Lauren blinked in shock at the red and yellow box in front of her.

"Is this... a happy meal?" Lauren asked.

"That's right! You're favorite!" Charlotte explained while everyone snickered...
