The following weekend

The following weekend we didn’t even make it out of the caravan for most of Saturday.

We fucked like rabbits.

Every time we finished, one of us would start touching the other again and we’d end up going another round. I came inside her more times than I could count. She was insatiable, and so was I. The overdue implant conversation from the week before only seemed to make us both more reckless.

By Sunday afternoon we were both sore, exhausted, and lying tangled in the sheets.

That’s when she told me.

“I found a rental,” Alice said casually, scrolling on her phone. “It’s only about fifteen minutes from your place. I put in an application yesterday.”

I stared at the ceiling for a second.

My mind flashed back to my ex — the crazy one. The toxic relationship where I’d learned about my breeding kink the hard way. I’d promised myself I wouldn’t do that again. I’d told myself this thing with Alice was just casual, no feelings, just really good sex.

But instead of saying any of that, I heard myself say:

“That’s… cool. Sounds like a good spot.”

She looked over at me, clearly surprised I wasn’t pushing back.

“You think so?”

I nodded, brushing off the warning bells in my head.

“Yeah. If it’s what you want, go for it. I’m sure you’ll love being closer.”

She smiled and crawled on top of me again, kissing me deeply.

“I was hoping you’d say that.”

We ended up fucking one more time before I had to leave — slower this time, but still raw. She came twice before I filled her up again.

As I drove home that night, the reality of what she’d said started to sink in.

She was moving closer.

And I had just encouraged it.
