The filters!

It takes me a moment to remember what her mother ACTUALLY called me in for.

"The filters!" I exclaim, perhaps a bit too enthusiastically. Aisha cocks an eyebrow at me.

I give her a brief explanation of the situation, carefully navigating around more delicate topics that will be left for later discussion.

"I've had a sneaking suspicion that there was another filter," she admits.

"Well, starting tomorrow, I'll be slowly showing you what's behind those filters."

"You don't need to be slow - I can handle it!"

I purse my lips in thought. Maybe she's right. Maybe I should just tear off the band-aid...

A/N - I know this is a short chapter, but I couldn't put this at the end of the previous - not without disrupting the tone entirely.

Just an FYI, I'm going to write the path of NOT showing her everything at once first - handling both the rewards and the filters would be too much to do at once. I'm going to later come back to this and make a branch where she is shown everything at once, but not for a while.

If you want to see a story more heavy in a character facing the realities of the world, I'd suggest my other story "A Dragon's ****". It's not too deep into the process of facing reality, but it's definitely begun.

Anyway, thank you for reading, and let me know what you think so far! And please feel free to leave suggestions for what you think should happen in the story - I can only have so many ideas, so a fresh perspective would be nice every once in a while.
