The enchanter

You're still sure that Doe's up to no good, but you're stuck with her for the moment and she still might prove useful in getting the Stone. "Here!" he cries. "Take it!" And he thrusts a dull blue stone into Doe's hands. "I've had enough of this damned Irsis Stone! Never a moment's peace, with people always coming in and demanding that I give it up to them! Well, Tim the Enchanter's done with it, and that's that!"

In this rather anticlimactic fashion, the quest for the Irsis Stone ends. You're rather annoyed that Doe has got ahold of it rather than you, since she's likely to betray you, but there's nothing to be done about it now. The two of you are shown out of side-door (which, if you'd know it was there, would have made the quest significantly easier), and proceed round to the front of the temple where Nemiri is waiting for you.

She squeals with joy when she sees that you're safe, and though she eyes Doe distrustfully she doesn't ask who she is or where she's come from. "You got the Stone?" Nemiri asks.

"Of course. You're free to go now, Nemiri."

"Oh, I know," she says with a wicked grin. "I'm just not sure I want to, you know?"

Doe smiles at that- having watched you fuck Nemiri, she knows why the elf might be unwilling to leave your side. "Well, I'll just get going then, shall I?" she says, and starts to walk away.

But of course, there's a good reason for her to walk away- she's the one holding the Irsis stone. She's clearly hoping you've forgotten about that.

You're half inclined to let her go. You get the feeling she needs the money more than you do. On the other hand, gold is gold, and Countess Lyria was really hot... And wouldn't she be appreciative if you brought her the stone?
