The elven priestess

After some minutes of walking, you and Bianca reach the main building of the Adventurers Guild.

You stand in front of the doors, your gaze fixed on them. Both of you are shaking, not only from the excitement, but because you feel frightened deep inside you. Once you get inside and talk with the receptionist, you both will be magically examined, and given a class. And once that happens, you better accept it and like it, because the process of changing a class is hard and can take years to finish.

A warming feeling fills your heart when Bianca grabs your hand, and intertwines her soft fingers with yours.

Eric: B-Bianca...

Bianca: It's time, Eric. Let's do this.

The first thing you notice when you pass the doors is a group of young adventurers, gathering around a big wooden board. The board is full of big and small notes and pamphlets all over it. You smile as you picture yourself there, looking for your first quest, very soon.

The tiles of the floor form a path, which goes from the main doors to the center of the big hall. There, in the center of the hall, the tiles form a big rhombus, containing a drawing made of tiles of the Adventurers Guild emblem: a compass, a shield, and a sword.

As you walk towards the center of the hall, you can't help but notice someone standing near the emblem. It would have been hard to miss her, she wasn't small at all. You notice two pointy ears peeking out of her long, golden hair. She seems nervous. Before you can look away, she looks at you, and opens her mouth in a hopeful smile.

The elf girl's huge boobs swing abruptly in different directions, as she walks quickly towards both of you.

Elf girl: E-Excuse me! May I have a second of your attention?

Eric: Uh... S-Sure, what can we help you with?

Elf girl: Thank you so much, sir!

You feel strange, never having been called that way before.

Elf girl: See, I was wondering if you happened to be adventurers.

Eric: Well... Not yet, but that's just why we came here. Today we're going to register as adventurers.

She opens her mouth wide in surprise.

Elf girl: Wooh!! I can't be this lucky! That's why I'm here too!

Eric: That's quite a coincidence indeed! Haha...

Elf girl: S-sorry for not introducing myself! I'm Vani, I work as a priestess at the local church. But today, I'm going to start a big journey!

Her excitement seems to fade as she looks down.

Vani: Or at least that's what I'd like to say... When I came here, I was shocked by how many parties of adventurers there are. Then I had a look at the quest board... Most of the quests are aimed at parties with multiple members!

Bianca: Yeah... That's expected, Vani. Adventurers who go on their own don't stand a chance if they're rookies like us.

Eric: Oh! Vani, are you trying to say you'd like to join us?

Vani: Pretty please!! At least just for the first quests!

Eric: You just had to say it! Another member would really help our odds. I'm totally fine with it if you're okay too, Bianca.

Bianca: Welcome aboard, Vani!

Vani: Yaai! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'll make sure to be useful to you.

Behind a big marble pillar, someone was watching everything from the shadows.

???: ... Yes, they will work. Today I'm having some fun after all.
