The door is ajar...

You pass through the open door to find yourself in a small study. The walls are lined with shelves of books, ancient and covered in dust. There are several strange instruments that appear to be used to study the stars and planets, including a golden telescope that, oddly enough, has a blocked lens. Upon the desk is a small golden pendant, just small enough to fit into the palm of your hand. Within the pendant is an even smaller blue sapphire... the exact same color as the mist barrier.
