Most obvious choice is always the right choice, I thought to myself as I walked up the handful of stairs and reached for the door handle.
It was locked.
Predictable, but perhaps a manageable barrier. My mind drifted back to the summer in high school when I had obsessed over lock-picking videos on the internet. Maybe if I could find an appropriate tool, I could get inside.
