The dark camp

You could complete your normal job first: delivering the package, but that would require you to interrupt anything that might be going on and announce your presence. You are an expert on this. Get your shots first, deliver the package second.

You make sure you have your act together. Camera at the ready, you creep into camp.

Almost immediately, as you check the lakeshore, you find something going on: two people who are not camp counselors.

It’s Angela, the part-time nurse, and Fareeha, one of the players. They’re lying on the sandy bank down by the lakeshore, alone in the dark, kissing tenderly. They’re fully clothed, and you know Angela well enough to know that you’re not going to get a show here.

You already knew that these two were having an affair, and you got a shot of them at the Lodge two weeks ago, naked in Bed, Fareeha poised over Angela, mouths locked in a kiss as Fareeha touched between Angela’s legs.

You didn’t have the heart to sell it to anyone. Angela is an incredible beauty, but she’s not a celebrity, and Fareeha is a decent player, but not a star. Exposing their relationship would be fine for the right price, but that price wasn’t on the table.

You watch them kissing softly, stroking each other’s hair. They didn’t even come here for sex, they just wanted to get away and steal a quiet moment together. The water sloshes quietly, and the crickets in the forest are noisy. These two aren’t what you’re here for. You’ll just leave them alone.
