The crazy corner

Maya corners you after dinner, joined by Anna and Kali. “I know it can’t happen right this second, but we all want to know something, my Josh. You do plan on giving us children some day, right?”

You smile. “I do. If we weren’t in the middle of...all this, I’d say we could start right now. I’m guessing seeing Sella and Frey had something to do with this?”

Anna nods, gently touching her new pendant. “Yes, master...when she gave me this, I melted. I want to have your babies, master.”

You look to Kali. “And I’m guessing you’re joining the baby gang?”

Anna and Maya giggle, but Kali looks at you with a hopeful look on her face. “I...I am, my savior. I want to give you a child. A child to love like nothing else, to give everything that was taken from me.”

You wipe away the tear that rolls down her cheek, and give each of them a kiss. “I give you my promise. As soon as there is peace, I’m getting each of you pregnant.”

You chuckle. “That’s a hell of a statement. I suppose the other girls will want in, too.”

Maya grins. “Lynn for sure. Yura probably won’t, at first. Elys has other concerns right now. Same with Clarissa. Rachel...I don’t know, honestly. And Sadie, well...she can’t get pregnant.”

You give her a surprised look. “Really? Why?”

“Djinn, and all genies are formed from raw elements, they don’t give birth. So she can’t get pregnant.”

You nod. “I guess that makes sense. I’m sure she’ll be a good co-parent, though.”

Anna smiles. “Master, I want to get this done so you can put babies in us!”

You laugh. “Well, we leave for Mermouthia in the morning. Family drama for Elys. Princess Elys, I suppose...”

Kali nods. “I would expect to see more covert agents of my father, too. He’ll want to keep us from getting stronger.”

You sigh.
