The cops arrive

They were wrapping up the last stream when Matt heard a loud banging on his apartment's front door.

"I'll get it," he mouthed to Tanya.

To his surprise, a group of City of The Hill's finest, dressed in their finest SWAT gear, stood outside. To his even greater surprise, they appeared to be about to deploy a battering ram to the door.

He opened it quickly. "Hey, no need for that."

"Hands up. Don't make a move."

Considering they had guns out, he wasn't about to argue. He slowly raised his hands.

A cop he didn't see shoved him against the wall and patted him down, yanking out his phone and wallet, throwing both on the ground.

"Can you tell me what this is about, officer?" he asked in his most non-confrontational tone.

"Shut the fuck up until we ask you questions. Move inside and disarm any of the others."

"Nobody here has guns," Matt said despite the order to shut the fuck up. Hell if he was going to stay quiet and get his family and friends shot up.

"What part of shut the fuck up don't you understand, asshole?"

Okay, he'd anticipated that reaction and proceeded to shut the fuck up.

While one cop handcuffed Matt's arms behind him, the rest dashed into the apartment, weapons drawn.

A couple of minutes later, cops pulled Tanya, Karen, Matt's mom, and Amy out of the apartment, Matt's mom complaining and talking about lawyers.

"Got yourself a nice little harem here, boy." A male cop smacked Matt's shoulder way too hard to be male bonding. "Guess that's how rich people live, right?"

Matt said nothing while his mom repeated her request to call a lawyer. "What the hell is this about, officer," she demanded. "You don't just barge into someone's house."

"We have reliable reports that your so-called house is being used for child pornography."

"Oh, for goodness sake. There hasn't been anyone under eighteen in the house since we've lived here."

"I'm sure all this can be straightened up down at the station, ma'am."

Yeah, right.
