The confession booth

You step into the small, dimly lit confession booth and close the creaky wooden door behind you. The air is thick with the smell of incense and old books, and you feel a sense of unease settle in the pit of your stomach.

As you kneel down in front of the divider, you can hear someone on the other side shuffling about. You clear your throat and mumble, "Forgive me father, for I have sinned."

The priest on the other side of the wall responds with a solemn, "I'm listening, my child. What sins weigh heavy on your soul?"

You take a deep breath and confess to the strange things you've been seeing and the sinful desires that have been plaguing your mind.

"Sinful desires, you say?" the priest says, his voice lowering to a whisper. "This is very serious. No normal prayers can remedy this sin, oh no."

The small window in the divider slides open a little further, and the priest hands you a rosary. "Put this on and give me your underwear," he says, his tone firm and commanding.

You're taken aback by the request, but you're **** to be forgiven and avoid the fiery pits of Hell. You follow the priest's instructions and hand over your undergarments, feeling a sense of shame wash over you.

"Good," the priest says, his voice echoing through the small space. "Now, before you can be forgiven, you must complete a few tasks. Today, you will stay in the church until midnight. You must not attempt to interact with any of the strange things you speak of. Finally, you will come to confession every day until your sinful desires have subsided."

The priest instructs you to stay in the confession booth, as he needs time to consult with God on how you can repent. He promises to return and inform you when it's safe to leave.

As you sit there in the dimly lit booth, your eyes scan the walls, and you notice that one of the wooden panels behind you is missing. A few minutes later, the priest's voice comes through the wall again.

"Your first punishment will take place here," he says, his voice cold and distant. "There are some other priests visiting today, and they would all like to hear your confession. We've never encountered anything like this, and it might take a lot for you to be forgiven."
