The clone has John's memories

The clone suddenly looks up at you, a hint of recognition in her eyes. "John... I was John, wasn't I?" she says, her voice filled with a mix of confusion and realization. "You were me, and I was you. But now, I'm... I'm Cassandra, just like you."

You're taken aback by the clone's question. If the clone has John's memories, that means it's not just a copy of Cassandra, but a blend of both Cassandra and John. You realize that the clone might have retained some of John's consciousness, which could complicate things.

"You were John," you say softly, watching the clone's reaction closely. "I was John," the clone repeats, looking down at her body in confusion. "But I'm Cassandra now. How is this possible?"

You explain to the clone about the remote, the skinsuits, and the default mode. The clone listens intently, trying to process the information. "So, I'm a copy of you, with John's memories?" the clone asks, looking up at you.

You nod, "Yes, that's correct. I created you to help protect Ashley. I want you to take over my life, while I work on keeping her safe from the shadows."

The clone looks determined, "I understand. I'll do whatever it takes to keep Ashley safe."

You smile, feeling a sense of relief. "Good. But remember, you can't let anyone know that you're not the real Cassandra. You have to act like me, talk like me, and be me in every way."

The clone nods, "I understand, Master. I won't let you down."

You feel a pang of guilt for referring to the clone as 'Master', but you brush it off. You're doing this for Ashley, after all. You spend the rest of the day coaching the clone on how to act like Cassandra, making sure she gets every detail right.

As the days go by, the clone seamlessly integrates into Cassandra's life, taking care of the household and interacting with Ashley and your husband. You watch from the sidelines, using Veronica's powers to stay invisible and possess people when needed. You feel a sense of pride watching the clone, but also a twinge of jealousy. This was your life, after all.
