The clock is ticking, Part 3: The final clash!

Lex knew it was a risk, but given the state of things, it was far more risky to allow Gillia to go without immediate healing. Lex cast Rejuvenate on Gillia, restoring 11 health every second for 10 seconds. - 40 Mp Lex yelled out to Sazla, Merona, and Divi while pointing to Gillia. "Sazla, retreat with her, now. Divi, it's time to rush in. Merona, I'll need you to buy us some more time for them to get to safety." Everyone nodded, rushing to do their task as best they could. Gillia however, could barely stand. By this time, two ticks of Rejuvenate had gone off for her, while the last two ticked off for Lex. 11 x 2 = 22 Hp

Lex watched in horror as Bylrym started to laugh, turning toward Gillia and started to breath in deeply, but before Bylrym could finish, he was stopped by Merona, leaping up to kick his left eye for a critical hit. 20 x 2 = 40 damage A loud roar of pain was heard, hitting everyone for 10 damage. - 10 Hp Divi used this opportunity to rush in, using both of her blade arms to strike at Bylrym's exposed neck, both hitting for 50 damage. 50 x 2 = 100 damage Bylrym covered his left eye while arching back up slightly, giving himself time to swipe with his right hand's claws, hitting both Merona and Divi. Merona took 100 damage while Divi received 50 damage. During this time another three ticks of Rejuvenate went off on Gillia, restoring another 33 health.

Lex started to run in, knowing now was the best time to strike. While running in, Lex yelled out. "He's almost down. Give him everything you got!" Luckily by this time both Sazla and Gillia had made it to safe distance, but Bylrym was not giving up just yet. All for his legs braced in the ground as his mouth opened wide as fire was building from within his belly. Merona jumped up high before using Charge, slamming down hard to knock Bylrym's head to the ground hard for another critical, but the **** recoiled, hitting herself and Divi for 60 damage each. - 5 Mp, 20 x .5 x 2 = 20 damage During this time another two ticks of Rejuvenate went off on Gillia, restoring another 22 health.

Divi struck with both of her arm blades while leaping back, hitting Bylrym's side for 40 damage two times. 40 x 2 = 80 damage Lex avoided the recoil and managed to make it to Bylrym's side, striking with both fits, hitting for 52 damage two times, while receiving 50 damage for each strike in return, landing the final blow on Bylrym. 52 x 2 = 104 damage (4 Overkill), 50 x 2 = - 100 Hp, 2,000 xp, $5,000, and Bylrym's Tooth When Bylrym's body hit the ground, four new exclamations popped up that Lex allowed to pop up. Divi gained two levels while Sazla gained three levels and Gillia managed to gained one. Bringing Divi and Sazla to level 11 whereas Gillia reached level 13.

Bylrym's Tooth. Rare Quality. Adds 5 acid damage and 15 physical damage if used in the creation of a weapon. However, if used for armor, reduces damage taken by 15% and deals 5 acid damage back to any physical attacker. 100/100 Durability.

Lex had collapsed while reading all of this. Her body was trembling from the stress of it all, even though she felt fine due to leveling up. After letting out a breath, Divi, Gillia, Merona, and Sazla's heads peeked over Lex to see if she was okay. Divi spoke first. "Are you alright, daddy?" Sazla spoke next. "Please tell me you'll be okay." Merona spoke next. "What's wrong, Mistress?" Gillia was in tears as she dropped to her knees beside Lex and said. "Thank you for saving me, Lex. Please, tell me you'll be okay." Her F score skyrocketed to 100. She sniffled while wiping away her tears.

Lex let out a soft breath and smiled to them before saying. "I'll be okay. I'm just in shock. Seriously, that was intense." They all looked relieved as Lex reached out a hand to Gillia's cheek, caressing it gently while saying. "I'm just glad we were able to help, honest." Gillia nuzzled Lex's hand with a soft nod and said. "Thank you, really. You have no idea how much this means to me." Her F score ticked up to 115. Lex smiled before opening up her inventory to take out the Simple bag containing ten wolf steaks, six red apples, ten strawberries, and twenty pecans. Lex handed the bag to Sazla and said. "Make sure everyone has something to eat and drink. I just need a few minutes to process what happened."

Sazla took charge of the food, passing out a reasonable amount to each of them before they began to eat. Meanwhile, Divi made glasses out of her jelly, filling them up with the water she had stored up earlier. Lex took this opportunity to open her character sheet, looking over her stats. She wondered how close she was to the next Intellect bonus. If her suspicions were correct, the next bonus should be at 50. To her dismay, her Intellect was at 40. With this in mind, she spent her 5 new skill points in Intellect, increasing it from 40 to 45. While everyone ate, they conversed and introduced themselves.

Lex used the mental command, 'Switch to male.' then the mental command, 'Equip Black Work Shoes and Socks.' When Lex switched to male, the portal that allowed Merona to join them reopened, allowing her to leave without saying a word. Shortly after that, Lex got up to join the others. When Lex looked to Gillia, she blushed. Her M score skyrocketed to 125 when she realized that this handsome man she saw earlier was also Lex. Lex smiled to Gillia when he noticed her relationship score rose higher for his male form than it did for his female form. Did this mean that Gillia found his male form more attractive?

They spoke to one another, enjoying one another's company for roughly thirty minutes. By this time, everyone had finished eating and drinking. Lex noticed something else interesting in his quest log, the section for escorting Gillia, the injured Sky Huntress was marked as complete. This made him curious. He used Observe on Gillia before checking on Divi and Sazla's health and mana bars, to confirm his suspicions. It was on the money, everyone's health and mana had returned to full. Perhaps it was considered complete because she was no longer injured? Well, in any case, it was nice to know that he no longer had to worry about Gillia's safety.

When Lex glanced over to Gillia, she was blushing beet red and her voice cracked when she asked. "Is there something wrong?" He shook his head with a little smile and said. "I was just wondering if you need anything else." Divi moved in closer to Lex, wrapping her arm around him before nuzzling close. Sazla looked a little jealous, but said nothing. Gillia shook her head before saying. "Oh no, I-I shouldn't inconvenience you any more than I already have. I just need to fly back home. It's on the floating island over there."

Gillia pointed up toward one of the nearby floating islands before looking back to Lex as she continued to speak. "I fly around a lot, so. If you ever need me, I will be there. I promise." Sazla leaned over and whispered something into Gillia's ear. Gillia's face turned bright red as she shook her head before saying. "I-I should go. Thank you for saving me, Lex. I will do my best to repay this debt in the future." Her wings spread wide before she jumped up high, using her wings to fly quickly off without another word.

Lex lifted a brow before looking to Sazla who shrugged and said. "I told her that if she wanted you to ravage her. She just needed to be honest about it. I thought she wanted you. Didn't you?" He looked back to the sky and said. "Maybe, but we won't find out today. Let's rest a little longer before we head out." Divi and Sazla nodded in agreement, but Lex began wondering about a few things. If these quests changed by his actions and time seemed to make a difference. Would rescuing the blacksmith within the volcano be even harder than this? Or was the blacksmith simply in more danger, like Thistle Bank had been?
