The chest

Why not check out the lock chest? Your therving mind imagines whatever treasure it may hold, gold? A painting? Maybe even some extoic spices for the cooks. Well only one way for you to find out.

Stepping forward, you begin to kneel infront of the old wooden chest, and the large rusty metal lock that keeps it seal. It's farly heavy duty, would be hard to break the darn dang. Good thing you got that lockpick. Pulling it out, you begin to work away at the lock, carely listening as you slowly pick away. After a couple of clicks, the lock becomes undone, collpasing next to your bare feet.

Placing away your pick, you begin to slowly lift up the top of the chest. Only to be knocked backwards by something very wet, launch onto the stone floor, and landing on your ass. Rubbing your cheek for a moment, you begin to glance at the chest, watching it begin to shake violently. As it begins to spourt arms, legs, with teeth shooting out of it's opening, and the tongue that smack ya, slithering back into it's mouth. You had just freed a monster of it's captivity, a mimic stands in your path, ready to fight!
