The challenger wins
While Misty had thought she had the girl on the ropes a couple times, her opponent managed to always find a way out. A trait that future gyms would make absolutely necessary.
"Congratulations, here's the Cascade Badge." Misty explained and held out the badge. Watching the girl take it, she took care in setting it within their case. Slipping it back in her robes, her gaze returned to Misty.
"It is almost time to pray. Would you like to join me?" she whispered and Misty froze. How could the gym leader be so stupid? If she had been paying more attention, Misty would've called a short break so they could do both do it. But there was always the option of grabbing her prayer mat and just praying here. Which one would be best here?
