The car breaks down

Suddenly, as Ashley was contemplating what to do next, the car lurched so hard that Ashley was pulled forward, the seat belt being the only thing keeping her in the seat. The car made an awful sound before lurching a few more times and coming to a stop. James didn’t seem to know what was going on, as several moments of silence passed before he tried turning off the car and turning it back on, only to sputter and die.

“Well, shit,” he said as he threw open the door and stepped out, with Veronica and Ashley coming out with him.

Even before he threw up the hood, they could see smoke, and when they did, they had to turn their heads away from the onslaught, coughing.

“Fuck! It was working fine, what the hell?!” James cried.

“Here, let me see,” Veronica said as she shoved him aside with her hip, only to pause when she saw the two giving her a weird look. “What? My dad works on cars so I know a little.” She hesitated before blushing. “So…uh…look away please? Since I have to…” She glanced down at her arms and James sighed as he pulled Ashley away. They walked around near the back, but as they were leaving, Ashley got an amazing view of Veronica bending forward to get in closer, giving a fantastic view of her petite ass.

“God damn she’s pretty hot, I’ll give her that,” Ashley said before realizing she’d said it too loudly, and when Veronica looked up with surprise, Ashley looked away with a red face, and, out of the corner of her eye, saw Veronica was also blushing as she knelt back down and uncovered herself to start messing with stuff.

“Wait, are you…?” James started.

“Let’s not think about that right now, okay? I’ve already got my eye on someone,” she said, before realizing what she’d said and making a whining sound. “I need to stop talking.” She shook her head. “To change the subject, you hate her too, right?”

“Well yeah, if what I’ve heard is right, especially now that she’s targeted you too,” he said, and she leaned in close.

“I’ve got some good **** pictures of her so if you want those for your own personal protection, I can give them to you,” she said, and his eyes widened.

“Sure! I won’t ask how you got them, but thank you,” he said, and suddenly things went quiet between them. “So…you’re uh…in the car, you…”

“Ah! That was…uhhh…” Ashley floundered, unable to think of an excuse. “I just…wanted to see how you’d react.”

“I see…” he said, and Ashley suddenly realized how close they were. She swallowed hard as she stared into his eyes, expecting him to look at her body, barely covered up by her hands. He kept glancing down every once in a while, but his eyes stayed on hers.

He leaned in.

“You’re…very pretty, you know.”

Ashley swallowed again, her heart racing wildly as she leaned in as well.

“Th-Thank you…”

Their bodies were inches apart, their faces getting closer…
