Chapter 3

What was the first day like?
The best decision ever made
Yuki took the first step to her new apartment and she felt amazing.
The place looked beautiful and larger than her parent's house not to mention her college dorm room.
She stood in the living room space and thought about which room to explore next. At that moment floating letters appeared in front of the entrance to each room. There was a bedroom, a gym, a kitchen connected to the living room, and a bathroom.
As she explored, each of the rooms looked luxurious with modern furniture.
Yuki was excited. She was getting access to the latest technology, getting to live in this beautiful place, not having to work for the next month, only to create her own routine and get paid for it all in the end so that she could pay for the rest of her education.
Yes, there were some risks associated with experimental implants but so far there hasn't been even the smallest issue. All she would need to contribute were probably just her own observations and feelings about being connected to the implant. Because of strict privacy laws, the company would have access only to raw readings from her implant, and a general activity log. Even though her house has computer vision watching her, she was assured that no one but she and the house AI can access it.
It was time to experiment.
She thought about turning on the light.
Nothing happened. That was okay, she was told that she may need to give voice commands first for the implant to learn which brain activity should be associated with what commands.
"Turn on the light," she said aloud and immediately the room lit up.
"I will call you Suzie." She remembered being told to name the AI because it would help the experience if she could make more of an emotional connection to it. Yuki had a friend Suzie in the kindergarden and she always liked the name
"Turn off the light," she tried and the room was filled again just with the late afternoon sunlight.
She thought about turning the lights on and this time the implant knew what to do. The same when she turned the light off.
On her first day, she discovered a ton of amazing features as the AI tried to always proactively help her with whatever she was trying to do.
"Would you like me to play some music?" an artificial sounding voice asked.
"Can you get more of Suzie voice please?" Yuki answered instead.
"Certainly is my voice better now?" the AI responded with an older woman's motherly voice.
"No!" she replied immediately. "Try something more girly and playful."
"What about now, is my voice better?"
"Yes, now play something on AlwaysMusic," Yuki said happily responding to a youthful and musical voice that could easily belong to one of her friends at school.
She gave her permission to access her online account and it learned her preferences to recommend truly great content. Suzie immediately judged her mood and found a song she hasn't heared in years. "Tender ears" started playing and she danced to it lightly.
When she tried to cook dinner it would tell her what meals she could prepare based on the content of her fridge and then it would guide her through each step of the cooking. It even recommended additional future recipes and ordered her missing ingredients once she allowed the AI access to her account which now had a hefty sign-up money from the implant research.
When she sat down to eat her implant recognized that she would like to watch something. Even without any physical tv, the augmented reality was able to place a screen in the room into a specific place and give it any screen size that she wanted.
Then things got really interesting when she went to her bed at night.
How does the night go?
Implant Orgasm Control
What could a brain implant with an AI could do to improve your life?
Imagine a world not that far in the future, where implants merged with AI technology. They are now making their way to average people. How will your AI connected to your body change your everyday life? How will it motivate you and what it will learn to take away when you misbehave? What can go wrong?
