The begining of the end

Once the meeting is over, you are free to return to your old room. You see your former squad members as you walk down the corridors. They all look tired.

"Hey, look!"

"He's back!"

"He looks fine, fucking bastard..."

"And he's smiling..."

"Does he even know what we went through?"

"Look, look!"

You smile as you walk past them and see how they stop what they are doing to point fingers and badmouth you. They all whisper to each other, but no one dares come and say something to your face.

As you approach the room, you hear Jenny talking to someone inside. You open the door and see Leyla and Jenny talking near a small table. Jenny jumps to her feet as soon as she sees you enter and runs straight into your arms.

You greet her with a warm hug and squeeze her tight against your chest.

"I've missed you so much!"

Being away from your mate for such a long period of time was hard, but you finally got her back, so now you are **** to let her go.

"I've missed you too!"

She kisses you and hugs you back just as hard. It's not surprising, considering she probably had to deal with those idiots outside on a daily basis. A cough from Leyla stops the wonderful kiss that you were having, but you don't blame her for that.

You shared intimate moments when you were locked up together and promised you would not abandon her. You intend to keep that promise, but the problem is figuring out how to break the news to Jenny.

Despite the initial interruption, she keeps her word of being a good mistress and decides to leave you alone with Jenny for a while. No doubt she tried to give Jenny a chance to catch up, but instead of a steamy sex session, you end up hugging on the bed and discussing what happened while you were apart.

Hearing her voice, smelling her, and touching her body is enough for now. Just small caresses to reassure each other that it's all real.

Sadly, the news she delivers is far from good. The general situation degenerated. The **** proved more potent than initially thought, and with violent werewolf attacks on the rise, people stopped considering you the same species.

There is nothing scarier than the unknown, and if it poses a threat to you and your family, then it must be eradicated at all costs.

An increase in arrests for attempting to defend the infected leads to a one-sided public debate.

As they have access to the werewolf's DNA, they have started experimenting with it. Despite being unstable and painful, now that they can achieve an artificial transformation, some of the most prominent faces of the opposition can be turned into scapegoats by pretending they are werewolves in disguise.

Faced with genocide, the council decided to join the war with guns blazing. Deciding to copy the vampire's homework, they agreed that the best way forward was to rule over them. As the vampires are busy in Europe, now is the perfect time to take over the country.

Destroying everyone involved with the **** and their facilities is just the first step before they overthrow the government and create a safe place for werewolves.
