The bedroom

I dash into the bedroom while both men shout frantically. I slam the door shut and turn the lock. It won't keep them out for long if they decide to bust it down, but they seem concerned with making noise, so I may actually be safe.

The handle rattles and I can feel their frustration is allowing me to escape. It feels good to have an advantage, even as meager as it is. I can hear their muffled voices through the door.

"Fuck! Now what?!"

"We can't allow her to escape and call for help! Break the door down!"

I have a few moments to prepare. Maybe I can find a weapon, or maybe it'd be best to just escape.
