The bedroom on the 2nd floor with Edward

After Tony confirmed the building was safe enough for them to go in, Sunny and Edward grabbed their backpacks and entered the mansion. Edward followed Sunny around as she went from room to room looking at everything with fabric on it. From furniture to drapes, everything was in relatively good condition. This was partly due to the house being insulated well, but also because everything had slip covers on it to keep dust off of it.

When they got to the 2nd floor, Sunny opened the first door she saw. Inside was a modest bedroom. It was rather plain with just a bed, a dresser, a long mirror, and two night stands. Compared to the rest of the house so far, the room was strange in that it didn't have any paintings or other extravagant decorations.

"Am I nuts or is there a dress laid out here?” Edward asked, pointing at the bed after he had moved the cover off of it. Sunny stood next to her friend and saw a beautiful dress laid out on the bed. It was a light grey with a lot of embellishments. Sunny examined the fabric while Edward wandered around the room.

"I thought this place was owned by a guy who lived alone," Edward mused. "Do you think he had a girlfriend?"

"Well, it's not like it's unheard of to gift clothes to people you're courting," Sunny responded, looking at the inside of the dress. "But considering the name that's stitched on the inside, I'm pretty sure it was owned by a socialite who he was close to."

Edward went through the drawers in the dresser. "Okay, but why would it be left out? Wouldn’t a woman leaving clothes behind at a guy’s house have been scandalous back then? Everything in here is neatly organized, so it's weird that it's just set out on the bed."

Sunny looked over at her friend. "No idea. It looks like it was set out to be worn. Maybe she was in here when he got the news that his business was going under?"

Edward pushed the final drawer back in. "So she got it ready then left town immediately? That’s really weird."

Sunny hummed in response and moved on to examining the garments in the drawer. Weirdly, there were stockings and nightgowns, but no undergarments or regular clothes in the room.

Sunny closed the drawers and turned to look at Edward, only to see him holding up the dress. "What's up?" He held the dress up to her. "Do you think would fit you?"

Taking it from him, Sunny looked down at it. "I mean, I think so. Why?"

Edward smirked. "If it fits, would you like to play a prank on the guys by making them think there's a ghost wandering around?"
