The app goes off at a family dinner

2 days had passed since she downloaded the app and not a single alert. Amy worried it must be broken. But she had to put on a brave face to survive dinner with Johns family. As she sat there she drifted off barely able to pay attention as it seemed like every topic was about someone being pregnant.

Than it happened. There was a buzz on her phone and when she looked it was an alert with a 5 minute timer already ticking down. Her eyes got big and she felt herself get wet as she knew this was it.

"I'm soo sorry but um a call just came in for work. John could you maybe show me where your room is so i can take this in private" She tried to be nonchalant but hoped John would pick up the cues

John nods "oh yea that work call you wouldn't to miss that" he quickly gets up leading her upstairs her parents confused.
