Chapter 43

How will this end?
The aliens attack!
I gasped and shuddered, feeling weightless from my orgasmic high. I tried to moan out, but heard nothing. I opened my eyes and discovered myself literally floating! I twisted my body to see the gaping expanse of space where the bridge had once been! The alien vessels had taken the opportunity of our distraction to begin their ****!
Time stood still as the vacuum of space threatened to pull us out into its emptiness. Tiloth had worked quickly to put up a **** field barrier just as Davis was about to be sucked away. he bounced against the transparent barrier and careened back toward the bridge. Artificial gravity and life support was still down. We all struggled to right ourselves and reach a console to access the systems. I had been holding my breath so long, my lungs began to burn. I managed to reach one of the side consoles and looked around to see where everyone was, making sure they were at least a moderate distance from the ground so the fall wouldn't be too bad. I punched the commands and we all dropped with a thud. The vents opened and oxygen returned to the room. The floor shuddered underneath me as we could now feel the reverberations of the weapons hitting the ship now.
"Report!" Kokuru gasped out from the floor.
"They've targeted main weapons and sensors! Shields up now and at 60%!" Tiloth called out from her station.
"Trask! Take the helm!" Kokuru said.
I looked over and Amasova was nursing an **** Davis on the ground. Captain Lance ordered a medical team up to take care of Davis.
"Aye, commander!" I cried out and rushed to the pilot seat. The console was flickering but it still responded to my touch.
"Evasive maneuvers!"
"Aye!"
I veered off from the two ships that were closing in for a strafe run and punched the impulse. We took a few more hits but the shields brushed them off. I didn't have a destination, so had to come up with a way to shake the pursuers off. The long range sensors were out, so I couldn't look for any convenient nebula or solar storm to hide in. The weapons were down, so we couldn't hold our ground and fight. Tiloth and Amasova were working at getting something back on to fight with. In the meantime, it was up to me to keep the ship in one piece. I was managing pretty good against the two attackers, if i do say so myself. The problem was when the third one dropped its cloak and caught us with its tractor beam!
"Any ideas?!" Captain Lance called out.
"We have a payload of torpedoes, but at this range, the ship will go with it!" Tiloth offered. Amasova nodded her head in agreement.
"What if we gave ourselves a push with the deflector beam?" Greene suggested.
"Can we do it?"
"Deflector array is operational."
"Do it! Divert all shields to the direction of the blast!"
Tiloth launched the torpedoes in a wide spread. The projectiles shot towards the tracking ship. Greene activated the deflector beam, cancelling out the tractor and pushing us into reverse. I poured on the reverse thrusts as the shields went up to a blinding light of explosion! The impact shot us upward and knocked our pursuing ships out of their trajectory and knocking into each other!
There was a brief pause of silence as we all waited for a reaction. The two ships that were chasing us appeared knocked out of the fight. We weren't in much better shape, after taking the brunt of the impact. The third ship was completely destroyed. We breathed a collective sigh of relief that we were still running. My heart was pounding into my chest. I could feel a sheen of sweat that had formed over my body in reaction to the danger we barely escaped. I sat back on the pilot console and let myself relax.
"Lieutenant Tiloth, get our weapons back online. Ensign Amasova, I want our sensors activated as soon as possible. We don't know if these guys are out for good or just recuperating." Kokuru ordered.
"Aye, sir!" they said in unison before following the commands.
Doctor Akira arrived and walked onto the bridge. She paused to survey the scene.
"What happened here?" Akira asked. She looked at the bridge crew's complete nudity in particular shock.
I covered myself, self consciously as I'm sure others did too. I didn't look back to where the doctor was standing. I pretended to concentrate on my console. Captain Lance sounded flustered before composing herself and changing the subject, "Well, we ... it was an emergency situation. Ensign Davis took a bad hit."
Akira used the tricorder on the **** pilot and called out, "Tranporter: emergency transport to the medical bay!"
There was the sound of the transporter working, then silence. It was then that I noticed a message on my console... from outside the holodeck! Linda... real Linda Trask... was contacting me!
What does Linda want?
