The absolute last-chance ultimatum

"Mom," Erica chuckled nervously, "this isn't an appropriate conversation. I'm not very comfortable with this."

"You're very eloquent, dear," Sarah continued, "but still not quite the 'n' word." Erica groaned at Sarah's choice of using that phrase.

"I'm raising the ante right now, and testing your mettle," Sarah continued, "take off all your clothes, right now."

"What!?!?" Erica was taken aback, "Mom!!!!!"

"Honey, you are going to have a naked vacation unless and until you can just say the word 'no'. I don't want this, trust me, but this is the same crud your 'friends' put you through constantly. If you have a backbone and just say 'no', I will buy you ice cream, and protect you from any wardrobe malfunctions and embarrassment. But until then, you are not allowed to wear clothes on this vacation, starting right now in this bathroom."

"Mom!!!!" Erica shouted again, "Please don't make me do this!"

"Well?" Sarah questioned with an eyebrow raised.
