The Web of Spider-Woman

When Black Widow failed to report in at the scheduled interval, Director Fury broke S.H.I.E.L.D. protocol and refused to declare his missing agents K.I.A. He waited, trying to give Natasha more time. That was three days ago. Now, he no longer had a choice.

Lifting the pen slowly, he signed the paperwork on his desk. Agent Maria Hill, his Executive Officer and second-in-command. He moved the file to the side to view the second one. Agent Natasha Romanov, aka the Black Widow. He signed that one as well.

"It's done." Fury said to the shadow figure lurking near his desk. "Officially, Agent Hill and Agent Romanov are dead. S.H.I.E.L.D. can no longer expend government resources attempting to locate or recover them."

"Unofficially," He started, turning his head to look in the direction of the woman emerging from the shadows. Tall, with long legs and long raven-hair, she wore a skintight red-and-yellow costume that hugged her gorgeous frame. Jessica Drew crossed her arms over her shoulders as Director Fury looked up at her.

"Find them. Whatever it takes, Jessica. Whatever the cost. Dead or Alive. I need to know." He let out a long heavy sigh. "And if they really are... dead, make the bastards pay."
