The Village

the next few days travel quickly with the king finding himself short of men to go out...so he sends his knights out with a few soldiers and decides he will go with Robert his personal guard and advisor to the villages..now the King especailly wanted to go and find potential knights to conscript...he wouldnt care who they were just as long as they had some magic of course that would only be tellable with some after a conscription and testing, he would just take any able bodied human that he could now

Running through the village he sees men running and being chased while other walked boldly forward....much was the same with the women they collected to join the men in battle...Joseph being the sort of man he was would leave the village with about half of its older population "Take any that resist:Remember do not take all but take as many as possible" turning the king took out his sword and as he pulled it,it caught on fire as black armor seemingly surrounded him, he raises his sword and a pillar of flame appears around him as he looks at the Village with storm grey eyes "LISTEN HERE YOU KNOW YOUR DUTY TO YOUR KING AND YOUR COUNTRY! REMEMBER THAT I DO THIS TO STOP THE UNDEAD IF ANY ARE WILLING TO COME FORTH AND SPEAK AGAINST THIS DO SO"

the village remains Quite for a moment and then Joseph feels something smack through his Wall of flame...looking down he sees that its a stick and it burns as he concentrates on it "hmm whoever mustve thrown this must have latent magical skill....hmm they are worthy of testing..." looking up he sees a visage that stops him dead in his tracks
