Chapter 11 by Papas_Liebling Papas_Liebling

The Unpredictable Jessica

Original chapter by Sordisi.

And then I'll let him stew.

My THOMAS! That rascal! I only believe half of what he says.

First, I have to think of a way to get back at him.

That thing about “...Dirk awakened something in me...” is nonsense, of course. A lie. And besides...

We're not sleeping together now. I'm sleeping with Dirk. He's not sleeping with me, not anymore. In my eyes, these are all excuses and not the real reason. All of this is racing through my mind.

Dirk and Thomas need to understand that their wonderful plan won't work in the long run.

Especially not when Sina is around. She would more or less accept that her parents are experimenting. I'm sure she can fend off Dirk, but there's no need to provoke her by putting her and Dirk in the same room.

Thomas is still standing there, looking at me tensely, waiting to see if I'll buy his nonsense.

I'll let him believe whatever he wants. He wants it unorthodox? He can have that, but with gusto! But for now, I need to keep my cool.

“Please sit down...” I nod toward the armchair in the corner of the bedroom.

He doesn't move. He's still standing there as if nailed to the spot.

“Come on...”

Then he moves and goes to the armchair and sits down obediently.

“So...” I take a deep breath and he takes cover.

“To defuse the situation here a little,” I begin. “You're going to invite your mother over for dinner tonight.”

His jaw drops. “Um...” he stammers.

Bull's-eye. I know how much he hates it when his mother visits. I cheer inwardly.

“You'll be nice to her, and so will Dirk, understand?” He doesn't know what this is about, but he nods.

"When Sina and Dirk come back later, send Sina to me. I'll have a word with our daughter and at least try not to leave her completely clueless.

Are those beads of sweat I see? Yes, they are beads of sweat.

“Then Sina will sleep here with me tonight. You can decide whether you want to sleep in Sina's room with Dirk or hit the town. I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, you can even take your mother out to dinner.”

I can see him waiting for the bomb I'm about to drop.

“Then we'd at least have one night over with.”

He looks at me. “Yes, and?”

“What do you mean, yes and?”

“Well, I mean, is that it? With...”

“Oh, you mean with forgiving me?” I grin.

“That's not decided yet...” I say wisely. Of course, that's not enough for him.

I grin. “Okay...” I give in. “If you really want to have that kind of relationship, with other men or maybe even women, then we should set some rules.”

Now he's really confused. “What? Seriously?” he stammers.

“I'm completely serious,” I say firmly.

“I don't want you to constantly throw men at me and then say, ‘Go get her...’ I want to be able to choose them myself. Just as an example: Dirk is definitely not the only man in the world,” I grin.

“And maybe you can dare to step out of your observer role,” I wink at him.

“Intervene to help when the other... um... fucker weakens. You know...,” I grin, still smiling.

I get up and walk towards him. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime offer. Think about whether you want to accept it. When your mother shows up tonight, I'll know you've accepted. You don't need to answer now."

Thomas looks at me completely dumbfounded. Now she's losing it... or so he's thinking right now.

Well, my dear friend, you've created a monster. See how you deal with it.

Then I clap my hands loudly. He flinches. Oh, poor thing.

“I'm going to take a shower now, and you can go back to your study and do the things you do. Or you can start on the list of rules,” I grin.

“You little sweetie.” I bend down and give him a kiss. “I think we're doing really well...” I purr.

“That was a good conversation,” I say, relieved.

I am a little relieved, too. Even though I've already played my biggest trump card. His mother.

It's not that she isn't nice to me or Sina. She can be a real sweetheart. But Thomas hates it when she's with us. She'll put him through hell if she finds out what's going on here. Girl power! And she'll do it one hundred percent. Either on her own or with my help. Lull the enemy into a false sense of security before the attack. That's how you do it.

Almost cheerfully, I leave the room to take a shower and leave Thomas alone with his thoughts.
