Chapter 12

What the fuck is going on
The Twist
His cousin, Alec, walked through the door first, followed by his lovely girlfriend. He was the nephew of Chase's father, Chase’s uncle’s son. And where Chase took after his father, with a stockier build and dark hair, Alec took after his mother’s side. He was tall and on the thinner side with dirty blonde hair.
His girlfriend, Alice, was shorter and had long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail that reached down her back. She was cute in the girl-next-door kind of way. They had met a couple of times before at family gatherings, but she had never been over before and was now peering around the room curiously
Chase’s mind was still reeling behind the mask he put up. His actions and words were on autopilot. A hello here, a teasing jab there, but it all felt so robotic to him. It wasn’t really him. He wanted to casually hang out with his arm around his loving sister’s waist and feel her hair move against his shoulder as she laughed and then give her a little squeeze with his hand to let her know he loved her.
He would do his best for her, though. He’d ask his questions later.
They took their shoes off after some greeting hugs and all migrated into the living room to chat. The couple sat on one sofa, leaving the other one for Chase and Chelsea.
Alice looked a little nervous and sat a little further away from Alec than she was probably used to. It was very endearing.
Chase plopped down and put his arm over the top of the couch and when Chelsea sat next to him he put his arm around his shoulder like he usually did. She began to settle into a light cuddling position against his chest before she froze and changed her movement.
“What are you doing?” She asked Chase, a scared look of vulnerability in her eyes.
Ohhhh…shit, he was too far on autopilot.
Chase redirected his movement to initiate a headlock on his older sister. This was normal sibling activity, right? Chelsea choked out a laugh that turned into a giggle as she held onto his arm, trying to wiggle her hips and get herself free. And when Chase finally relented, she sat back up a healthy distance away from her brother.
Alice was laughing too, visibly relaxing and leaning into her boyfriend. That was a plus.
Crisis averted.
It wasn’t long before Anna came home and Chase jumped up to help his mother with the groceries. His actions weren’t entirely selfless, though, he had a couple questions for her, as well.
He rounded the corner into the front hallway, seeing his mom with hands full of grocery bags. Chase was worried, but he hoped it didn’t show on his face. She put the food down and held out her arms for a hug. He guessed it probably did.
He scooped his arms under hers and brought her up into a big bear hug, while she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek. “It’s only for tonight, my darling,” she whispered.
Chase started and pulled back a little bit to look her in the eyes, “You too?” He almost whimpered the words. It didn’t make sense to him. Anna took his face in her hands and gently kissed him on the lips.
“It’s only for tonight,” she repeated, “I’m sorry, my love, we haven’t been completely honest with you. I’ll explain everything after they leave, okay?” She smiled suggestively, “And then we can have a big threesome, I know how much you love a double blowjob.”
Despite his worries, Chase could feel his cock stirring in his pants. His mother, pressed right up against him, could feel it too. She smiled and patted his chest, gently pulling away.
Chase tried one last ditch effort, trying to put all his power of Suggestion into his words. He had never had to push it like this before, but worried that it was gone he had a sudden awareness of energy within him. His words were laced with it, dripping with it.
“Turn around and pull down your pants, right now. Let me fuck you,” he said quietly, but authoritatively.
Anna didn’t even blink, just leveled him with a slightly annoyed stare that said ‘Really?’
“Later baby, later.” She patted him on the cheek lovingly, “Now please help me put these groceries away, I went a little overboard today, to be honest.”
Chase’s mind spiraled, what was he without his power? Without his control? These women, all women, were under his spell. All of the men too, but that mattered less. And his family…
Chase knew he loved them very much, he always had. But he thought there was more to it. He considered them his lovers now, his partners. But with a power like his, what is actual romantic love? Did he just trick himself into thinking they were more than that just because they followed his every order?
And anyone else outside of his family that he had a long term relationship with, sexual or romantic or even platonic, was that fondness they had just part of his Suggestion. Was it because all he ever wanted was just genuine human connection? But now he couldn’t tell if it was genuine or artificial.
He felt like he was going to lose his mind. He could feel himself slipping. Why did his head hurt so much? What was his chest doing? It felt so tight. Was it getting harder to breathe or was it always this difficult to get air into his lungs?
A warmth embraced him from behind, arms wrapping around his stomach and softness pressing into his back. A chin rested on his shoulder.
“Hey,” Chelsea whispered softly in his ear, “I love you, okay? We love you.”
It was like his sister could read his mind. That was exactly what he needed to hear right now. She kept speaking to him, reassuring him.
She loved him like a lover, like a partner. They were more than just siblings. She wanted to follow his every order, but she also loved just hanging out and messing around and being with him. They were meant for each other.
Soon, his mom joined their embrace from his front. He was more than just a son to her, he was the man of the house and the man of her dreams. He was everything his father couldn’t have been. She wanted to be lovers for as long as they could. She was proud of what a kind and strong young man he had become.
As they whispered into his ears, the tightness in his chest receded and the tears stopped falling from his eyes. Chase didn’t even realize he had started crying. And then the tears started again, this time from relief. He was so overjoyed that things were how he thought they were, that he wasn't mistaken for the last eight months. He took a big deep breath and let it all out. He touched his sister’s head and his mother’s hip.
“Thank you,” he breathed. They kissed him on his cheeks simultaneously and Chelsea gave him a little pinch on his butt. He jumped a little, laughing and wiping the tears from his eyes and gave his sister a hug back. He really did love them so very much.
Chelsea spoke to him as they parted from their embrace, “I’m gonna go tell them that you had a little anxiety attack was all, is that okay?” Chase nodded and she turned to leave to give their guests an excuse for being gone.
“Chase,” his mother brought his attention from his lovely sister’s silhouette back to her. “Come with me and help me with the food okay? It'll give you some time to calm down.”
Chase nodded, kind of numb, but very grateful for these women in his life. He picked up the bags and followed his mom’s shapely rear into the kitchen to be her sous chef. But one very clear thought kept ringing through his head again and again and again.
His Suggestion didn’t work on blood relatives.
