What's next?
The Stepstones Plot
Aegon Felt All Eyes Upon Him and His Two Queen's, and The Prince and Princess In Their Respective Arms. Beside The Three and The babies Sat A Heavily Pregnant Tyene and Nymeria, and Slightly Less So Alys and Dacey, While Wylla Was Only Now Showing Signs Of Her Own Pregnancy. "The Golden Company Refused Our Contract, Which Leaves Us A Poor Choice, We Either Abandon Our Plans For Invasion, Or We Go Ahead Against A Less Weakened Pirate ****. Before You Is A Copy Of The Original Plan For Invasion, Read Through It and When Everyone Has We'll Begin." Says Aegon.
The Lord's and Lady Of Westeros Read Through The Documents Copied By Grand Maester Gormon, and One By One They Put The Parchments Down Before Looking At Aegon. When The Last Person To Lower His Paper and Raise His Eyes Has Done So, Aegon Begins. "The Stepstones Have Raided and Reaved Worse Than They Ironborn In Recent Memory. They Present An Inherent Risk and Danger To The Sea Trade, and We Have Historically and Miserably Failed To End It Many Times Over. Lord Stark, Your Questions?" Asks Aegon. "In The North We Have Little Problems With These People It's True, But Unless They've Invaded Our Shores In ****, I See No Reason To Attack Them." Says Eddard Stark. "Yes, But We Have To Deal With The Mere Threat Of An Attack On A Daily Basis When Bringing In Supplies." Says Yronwood, Referring To His Fellow Dornishmen's Closest Proximity To The Stepstones. "Lord Brynden?" Asks Aegon. "We Of The Rivers Have No Fear Of The Pirates, and Have Not Since The Burning Of Harrenhall, But Even So, I've Fought In The Stepstones Before This, Like Ser Barristan Selmy, Back During The War Of The Nine Penny Kings. The Pirates Will Always Come Back Unless We Make Them Decide Not To." Says Brynden.
"What Of House Greyjoy? Surely You and Your Bastard People Must Have Trade With These Pirates?" Asks Lord Mallister. "No More Than You Would With Us." Spits Victarian. "Stop It, The Ironborn Haven't Raided Past Seagard In Years. Not Officially Anyway." Says Aegon. "The North Has The Strength and Will To Our Vanguard's Main Backbone, The Men Of The Reach and Westerlands Have The Charisma and Skill To Reinforce Our Lines and The Stormlands and Riverlands Can Form The Rear Guard." Says Tywin. "We're Not Yet Decided, We Still Have Opinions Yet To Be Voiced." Says Aegon. "Where Does The Reach Stand Lady Olenna?" Asks Aegon, As Lady Olenna Shushes Her Acknowledged Idiot Son and Aegon's Former Father-In-Law. "Well My Son Would Be All To Happy To Pledge Us, But What Do We Stand To Gain? True We Gained A Grandchild To Sit On The Throne Or Great-Grandchild In My Case, But We Lost Our Tyrell Queen As A Result." Says Olenna. "You'll Get Bloodstone, Dorne'll Get Grey Gallows. The Larger Surrounding Islands Will Be Annexed Into The Corresponding Island's Domain, While The Outlying Islands In The Fringes Of The Stepstones Shall Be Gifted To House Greyjoy." Says Aegon.
"You Have Our Support Egg." Say Quentyn. "And Ours." Says Lord Eddard and Lord Tyrell At The Same Time. "Lord Tywin? Lord's Tully's? Lord Robert?" Asks Aegon. Tywin Nods, and Brynden Does The Same. "Yeah, Fine, I Need A Good Fight Anyway." Says Robert, and Aegon Is Seriously Tempted To Pipe Up About His Inaction During The Last Civil War, But Decides Against It. "Then Let Us Speak Of Our Plans." Says Aegon, Nodding To Lord Varys. "This Is A Copy Of King Rhaegar's Personal Journal, It Displays His Preferred Methods For Ending Piracy and Raiding In The Stepstones, and Appears To Hold Copies Of Other Previous Such Journals From Past Kings and Princes Who Either Planned To Or Did Fight In The Stepstones." Says Varys. "Familiarise Yourselves With It, and Keep It To Yourself, Let None But Your Most Discreet Officers See It." Says Aegon. "Chat Amongst Yourselves, I Have A Matter Or Two To Attend To Before We Discuss The Strategy. I'll See You All Soon." Says Aegon, As He, Tye, Nym, Alys, Dacey, Wylla, and The Prince and Princess Leave To See To An Important Matter.
Aegon Stood Patiently Waiting For The Result Of The Girl's Health. Pregnancy Was Never Easy, If It Was The Girls Would Be Spreading Their Legs Much Sooner Than Eight and Ten. When This Was Done, He Had The Issue Of Seeing Whether The Signs Pointed To A Bastard Prince Or Princess. Aegon Wanted A Semi-Heads Up For What To Expect, He Wants As Little Chance Of Rebellion As Possibile. The Archmaesters Were Running The Final Tests When He Was Called Back To The Deliberations Of Strategy.
Aegon Entered and Found His Chief Lord's Paramount and His Wardens Sitting, Standing, and Leaning On and Against A Variety Of Fingers, and Aegon Pulled His Knife Free. "We End The Threat Once and For All, and We Make Sure None Take It's Place." Says Aegon, Slamming The Blade In The Center Of The Map Before Them, and Each Lord Does So Around His Knife With Their Own.
