The Skiing Group
Back outside the lodge Nicole, Rachel, and Brian spent a few hours skiing down the slopes, with the White siblings were in good spirits, Nicole couldn't have been more miserable. Rachel and Brian attempted to pull the redhead into their conversations over the hours but every time the girl quickly fizzled out and went back to sulking. As the trio reached the top of the slope for the fourth time Rachel looked over to her brother with a smirk, "I gotta say, Bry, you're in a pretty good fucking mood today,"
"Why wouldn't I be, things are going good for me, I'm out skiing on a great day, and I got all my friends up here with me," Brian replied with a smile, "I mean shit, even you can't ruin all that," He added on causing Rachel to roll her eyes,
"Something tells me you're just happy that you're getting your rocks off," Rachel sarcastically retorted,
"You know what, hell yeah I am, Mindy and I fucked the whole night away. That girl is more of a freak than I could have ever dreamed and I'm loving every second of it," Brian confidently replied with a grin,
"You and Mindy?" Nicole asked, her voice still low, almost a mumble,
"Yeah, we messed around the other day, and then yesterday she came back and said she was just ready to go for it, and that's what we did, we fucking went for it," Brian explained with a chuckle, "Last night was definitely the best night of my life,"
"Awww, Brian's in loooooooove," Rachel teasingly sang back,
"What?!" Brian quickly scoffed back, "No I'm not, Mindy and I are fuck buddies, Rachel,"
"Yeah, because you're this vocal and dreamy-eyed about all your fuck buddies, Bry. I grew up with you, asshat, I can tell you're thinking differently about her," Rachel denied with a small giggle,
"No, I'm not, stop trying to ruin my day!" Brian barked back,
"Brian and Mindy sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G, first comes love....what's next Bry?" Rachel grinned,
"Oh fuck off!" Brian grunted out before pushing forward and swiftly skiing down the slope, escaping his sisters teasing,
"What a jackass," Rachel laughed while looking over to Nicole, "And what's got you so blue?"
"You know already, don't act like you don't," Nicole muttered back,
"Yeah I do," Rachel nodded, her tone shifting quickly to a serious one, "Did you talk to Anna,"
"She wouldn't give me the chance, not like she really should have," Nicole shrugged, "I fucked her boyfriend...I'm a fucking bitch,"
"Maybe," Rachel admitted, "But then again, maybe you're her friend who made a mistake?"
"This isn't really an "oops, sorry" situation Rachel. How do I apologize for something like that?" Nicole snapped back,
"Have you tried saying sorry?" Rachel asked,
"No, and it'd be no use," Nicole replied while shaking her head, "She hates me now,"
"So let me get this straight, you feel guilty, you want Anna to forgive you even if things seem hopeless but you won't apologize because you don't think that'll be enough or help?" Rachel repeated with sarcasm, "Nicole, honey, say you're fucking sorry then sulk if it doesn't work," Nicole looked over to Rachel with a narrowed brow, "Hey, I am all for being on your side, helping you fix this, but I can't do that if you're too much of a coward to say you're sorry to your best friend," Rachel simply replied with a shrug,
"I'm not a coward, it's just not worth it!" Nicole shot back,
"Not worth it?!" Rachel replied with a bewildered look, "It's not worth telling Anna that you fucked up? That you are responsible for what happened and for all her heartache? Is it not worth giving your friend that little bit of respect that you regret what happened and are sorry, even if she won't forgive you? Jesus, I thought you were better than that," Nicole lowered her head and felt her lower lip tremble, "Listen, you gotta grow up, accept some responsibility for once. I'm not saying go apologize to Kenny, JJ, Eric, whoever. I'm saying you need to do it to Anna, or you're gonna lose her for sure,"
Nicole squeezed her eyes shut as Rachel pushed forward on her ski's and took off down the slope as well leaving the redhead alone. Immediately Nicole felt a few tears escape her eyes and she fell back into the snow sitting down and taking a few minutes for herself thinking everything over. Of course, Nicole didn't want to lose Anna as a friend but at this point what could she really do? Saying sorry would surely only bring on more anger and resentment from Anna, but the blonde woman had a point, Anna deserved enough respect to at least hear it...
