The Shorter route

Getting up just before dawn , I grab my gear and head out knowing it cant hurt to have some extra time.

Heading out I thank the front desk clerk giving him a nod and telling him I'll be back with the chit to pick up things eventually. He nods and waves as I head out. I make my way through the dense foliage. Eventually I end up making some good progress, at least this way there isn't so much sun beating down on me this way.

Setting up camp for the first night , I settle in for a nice bit of rest. I am not really able to set up a fire too easily, so I forgo it. I close my eyes and wake up as the sun starts to work its way up.

I go to pack up my gear and head on mostly uneventful along the way, I do spot some animal tracks, possible jaguar in the area, not too uncommon. I eventually work my way near enough to the village and Temple.

I get near the base of the temple, a building that looks a bit like a Aztec pyramid of sorts is hidden by some tall trees around it, I look at it as I find one of the entrances.

Looking at my map I know I have a decision to make.
