With a deliberate flourish, she flipped the next card. The image sent a shiver across the table: a monstrous sea creature, eyes glowing like lanterns in the dark.

“Oh!” the Model exclaimed, leaning forward and lowering her voice to a conspiratorial whisper. “Mia… you’ll need to be careful. This… this is the Sea Monster. If you see it and move… well, let’s just say it has a taste for daring explorers.”

Mia’s stomach tightened. “Taste…?” she whispered, eyes darting to the looming figure painted on the card.
