The Scarecrow wakes up the Tin Man

"So what am I going to do now?" said Dorothy.

"I don't know," said the Scarecrow. "Maybe follow that monkey and get your clothes back?"

"But that monkey flew away so fast," said Dorothy. "How will I ever manage to catch up with it?"

"Oh, I'm pretty sure I knew where it went."

"Where's that?"

"The home of the Wicked Witch of the West," said the Scarecrow.

"You mean I have to go there?" asked Dorothy.

"I'm afraid so," said the Scarecrow.

"Isn't there any other choice?"

"Well, there is the Emerald City," said the Scarecrow.

"You mean the home of the fabulous Wizard of Oz?" asked Dorothy.

"The same."

"And you think the Wizard will help me get my clothes back?"

"Not a chance," said the Scarecrow. "But they do have a lot of nifty shops in the Emerald City."

"That won't help me, Scarecrow," said Dorothy. "I don't have any money."

"Maybe you can ask someone there for money."

"Are you kidding, Scarecrow?" said Dorothy. "Who in their right mind would want to give money to a young naked girl?"

"Er -- you might have a point," said the Scarecrow.

"By the way, how's it's coming with the Tin Man?"

"Almost finished," said the Scarecrow.

At that point, the Tin Man opened its eyes, glanced around and started blowing steam from the top of its little pointed tin hat. "My, my, my," it said. "Where have you been all my life?"

"Kansas," said Dorothy.

The Tin Man replied with a frown, "Er -- I wasn't talking to you."
