The Roommate

"Spencer." A voice called out. It was none other than my beautiful roommate Luca.

" Yeah, what do you need?" I asked looking over at her.

" Can you put the groceries on the counter away for me?" She asked giving me a sweet smile.

" Mmm, yeah sure." I responded getting up from the couch and making my way over to where she was. I picked up the first bag which was filled to the brim with veggies.

" Uh, actually can you hand me the cucumber?" She asked suddenly startling me a bit.

" Uh, sure." I replied handing over the thick long emerald colored cucumber.

" It's going bad. I think I'm going to dispose of this before it rots in the fridge." She stated looking at it nervously.

" But it doesn't..." I began.

" NO! It's bad. Trust me. I'll go ahead and get rid of it." She stated taking it out of my hands and running off.

"Wait." I tried to say, but it was to late. She was gone, and the trash can was in here.
