Chapter 22 by Suvinceus Suvinceus

A few days later...

The Rogues Attack

August 2, 1979

It was the beginning of a new month, and seemingly the end of a long, hectic summer. Down in Hell's Kitchen, the Rogues had already made plans to travel to Coney Island.

"Allright, boys, the plan's simple: When we get to Coney, we're expecting only the Warriors there. If they bring any more ally gangs to help them out, we're probably gonna be outnumbered." Psychosis explained. "Now let's bop our way there and give those assholes a taste of our own medicine, then we find the Riffs and have our way with them, too!" he added.

The Rogues cheered as they left their base of operations to head for the subway. As they boarded the train, they were eager to get vengeance on the gang that slandered them several weeks ago.

"So the Rogues wanna jump us? Because we wrongly accused them of killing Cyrus? That's bullshit, they did it all along!" Ajax told Snow.

"Yeah, one of the scouts here told me about eavesdropping on one of their meetings." Snow replied.

The afro-ed Warrior then turned to Swan and said, "If these Rogues get here to attack us, we best be prepared."

"Wait! Maybe we can convince the Crescent Moons to help us out! And I'm pretty sure that we've made amends with some gangs around New York, so we need their help, too." Rembrandt added.

Swan raised an eyebrow: in the past, the Warriors butted heads with the Boppers, the Orphans, the Baseball Furies, the Jones Street Boys and the Punks, although they never fought the Baseball Vixens...yet. However, the Warriors decided to make amends with the six gangs after Luther was kicked out of the Rogues, but there were other gangs that Swan and the others have faced, but did not appear to have any interest in reconciliation.

Cochise insisted that the Boppers "bow down to the Warriors" and as a result, he got along with a few of them, settling the bad blood aside, even though he didn't apologize to Big Moe for taking his hat.

The Orphans, on the other hand, began to realize that the Warriors were too tough for them to handle, and began praising them. However, Mercy seemed to refuse talking to Sully, as they had drifted apart since she began seeing Swan.

Swan, Ajax, Cowboy and Snow dealt with the Furies, but a few weeks after the Cyrus incident, the Furies and Warriors agreed on a truce, which not only formed an alliance between both gangs, but the Warriors formed another with the Vixens.

The Jones Street Boys got involved in a set-up thanks to the Warriors, but Cowboy and Cochise apologized for involving them, and insisted that the two gangs get along. They had yet to form another with the Saracens, however.

Last but not least, the Punks were also another gang that went after the Warriors after Cyrus's ****, but after hearing that Luther was responsible for his ****, the Punks decided that the Warriors weren't such bad people, after all.

And then there were the latest three gangs they've been friendly with: the Gamers, the Bluebirds, and finally, the Crescent Moons.

"Maybe we should convince Slattery and James to help us out. Maybe bring in those Gamers you told me about, Rembrandt." Swan replied.

"Allright!" Rembrandt said as he high-fived Snow.

And so, the Warriors sent out a message to the other gangs, needing their cooperation in taking down the Rogues. The Crescent Moons got word of this, and arrived at Coney Island safely.

"Who are those Rogues anyways?" Lisa asked.

"I heard they got involved in the **** of Cyrus, former leader of the Gramercy Riffs. When they found out that the Warriors didn't really kill Cyrus, the Riffs decided to punish the Rogues. As of now, the Riffs are on good terms with the Warriors, although they don't have an alliance together." Jake replied.

"There it is, their base of operations!" Berlin said, pointing at the building belonging to the Warriors.

As the Crescent Moons entered, Swan told them, "Listen carefully, the Rogues will arrive any minute, so you better get some weapons and show them no mercy."

"Will do." Slattery replied.

"I'd love to introduce my parents and my other friends to you, but we sure do have a lot of stuff to do tonight. Where's the Gamers?" Lisa said.

Suddenly, the door opened again and Highscore and his men from the Gamers entered. "Hey, good to see ya! So, where are the rest of the gangs?" he asked.

"Don't know, but it's gonna take a lot of time for all of them to get here. Just remember, though, you're gonna be dealing with the punks who once framed us for ****." Swan replied.

Guess who just got back today
Them wild-eyed boys that had been away
Hadn't changed, hadn't much to say
But man, I still think them cats are crazy
They were asking if you were around
How you was and where you could be found
I told them you were living downtown
Driving all the old men crazy

The boys are back in town!

  • The Boys are Back in Town, Thin Lizzy

The Rogues were standing outside the Warriors's building, and Psychosis yelled at the top of his lungs, "CHARGE!!!"

They then ran into the building and kicked down the doors, taking the Warriors, Gamers and Crescent Moons by surprise. The four gangs then got themselves into an all-out battle royale, as Psychosis aimed for Slattery first.

The dark-haired Moon gave the Rogues leader a few punches before Psychosis pounced on Slattery and took out his switchblade knife, attempting to stab him in the throat. However, Highscore grabbed the Rogues leader and put him in a chokehold and kneeing him in the back.

Swan and Ajax were attacking a few more Rogues before the short-haired Warrior threw one Rogue out of the window, breaking the glass. Berlin had also slammed a Rogue into the wall, bashing his head against it until he laid there wasted.

Psychosis immediately got up and ran towards the window, allowing the remainder of the Rogues to follow his lead.

"The pussys are gettin' away! Let's waste 'em all!" Ajax told Swan.

The three gangs then made their way outside to fight the Rogues some more.

Outside the building...
