The Ring of Ursa Major calls to you

After all the commotion in the dining hall, the butlers and Eric alike were busy restraining Tallula and confining her together with Wanda. Both of them were just as crazy now and wouldn't stop talking about wanting to serve you-- in short, tomorrow, you'd probably have a tall order dragging suspicions back off of you and clearing your name again. The only saving grace was the the other guests had already retired to their rooms right after dinner and Eric was going to great lengths to make sure they weren't disturbed. At least that meant they wouldn't have anything to worry about till tomorrow morning.

With a lot on your mind, you finished helping the butlers clean up your mess in the dining hall, then ascended the staircase up to the second floor. The left side of the hall where the women were resting was peaceful, but the right wing was a bit chaotic, as you saw two butlers working to shove Tallula inside the door. "Mr. {last! Do you want me to sleep at the foot of your bed? Or in bed with you? I can cuddle up and keep you warm!" she insisted, her eyes still flashing a very disarming shade of pink.

Old Eric dabbed at his forehead with a kerchief and frowned as he saw you coming. "Into your room, please, Mr. Wolf. We will have this handled shortly." He was there to cockblock you in case you got any funny ideas about taking Tallula up on her offer or getting a round two with his employer.

Slightly annoyed, you left him to what he was doing and headed in to your own room. You wanted to organize your notes on the case for a while before bed, so you sat down at the reading desk and pulled out your notepad and pen.

You only managed a few lines of writing before you began to feel yourself beginning to nod off...

... Later, shaking yourself awake, you found it had become an hour past midnight and realized the commotion in the hallway had since passed. Just as you were heading for the bed yourself, however, a new noise entered into your head: the voice of Wanda Croft.

"Mr. Wolf... it's far too early for bed, isn't it? Your new servants are waiting for you. We can be whatever you want to be: your slaves, your brides, your lovers, your sluts. You wouldn't spit upon the hospitality of my master, would you?"

The room seemed to glow pink; you realized with some alarm, it was likely because your eyes themselves had taken on that hue. You thought to yourself that what she was saying was no good. Even if you wanted to visit the two victims, Eric and the others were guarding the room.

"Wrong. Just Eric. And you have the Ring of Ursa Minor, don't you? Make him take a hike, hm hm hm...!"

She had a point. If the other butlers had left, the only one guarding the guest room where the two were situated was probably Eric-- alone. That was the prime scenario to use the green ring. But should you? The women weren't in their right mind.

"Oh, please. Are you hesitating? There are any numbers of excuses you can use... it's my master's bidding, for one. It will be a pleasure for all of us, for two. If you still need another excuse, tell yourself that you're still 'interrogating' us to learn more, hm hm hm hm! You're creative, I'm sure you'll come up with something~"

Your head swam and you closed your eyes to stop seeing the pinkness all around you, but it seemed to persist, even behind closed eyelids. You had to make a choice: accept her new invitation, or defy her and will yourself to sleep-- maybe after a cold shower?
