Which Path Will They Choose?
The Right Path
Rebecca who is out in front, turns around in her saddle to look back and address her fellow amazons. Her eyes meet Arerto's own, and Arerto can not help think about her interaction with Rebecca last night in her tent.
"We will take the right path." Rebecca commands, she turns back around in her saddle and continues forward.
"As bossy as ever."Alessia says riding next to Arerto. Arerto simply gives Alessia a small smile in reply.
The group proceeds down the right path. A few hours later the quiet is interrupted by the sounds of howling, and a spear comes flying out of the woods. It impales itself in Arerto's horses' throat, the horse screams and collapses, throwing Arerto to the ground dizzying her.
She can hear the sounds of more howling, horses screaming, and battle cries from her fellow amazons. By the time Arerto has gotten back up and drawn her sword, the battle is in full swing. She sees that the horses are either dead or ran off, and that her sister amazons are engaging four lycans, in groups of two or three.
The large humanoid wolf men are nude, carrying only their weapons. Not far from her she can see Rebecca fighting one of the lycans by herself, but is being pushed back by the wolf man's superior strength. To Arerto's other side is a gap where there is no fighting, giving her the perfect chance to escape.
