The Republic of Vinei

Vinei. A land of misty islands, hidden reefs, and other cloaked dangers. The islanders formed their Republic based off the power of their merchant houses, and this power structure remains. Despite crawing on the contrary, Vinei is no freer or less despotic than any other power. However, if one is willing to cut throats and undermine their enemies with economic, espionage, and the occasional ****...well, then you can get ahead.

Gifted in Vinei are precious commodities, almost as precious as the wood and stone constructs they command. They are kept on very short leashes, but are highly trained and motivated...for a master-less Gifted is one that is a target for slavers.

Female Gifted are known as Enchantresses.

Male Gifted are known as Enchanters.
