Which Power First?

The Reality of the Cards

The Reality of the Cards offers a tantalizing blend of chance and control. In your hands is a mystical deck of 52 or more cards, each one holding a unique influence over existence. Draw a card, and its effect instantaneously warps the fabric of reality. Some cards bless you with unimaginable power, love, or protection. Others curse enemies, unlock knowledge, or summon items out of thin air. But every card is a gamble — you never fully know what you’re going to get unless you shape the deck yourself, and even then, the deck has a mind of its own.

Over time, you can begin customizing your deck. You may forge cards based on real people, desires, emotions, or even moments in history. Want a card that grants the strength of a god? Design it. Want a card that binds someone to your will? Create it — if you’re willing to pay the price. But the deck isn’t just a tool; it’s a sentient **** that demands balance. For every blessing drawn, a burden must follow. Miracles generate misfortunes. A card that saves your life may later draw another that dooms someone close to you. The more you try to tip the scales in your favor, the more the deck fights back.

The deck doesn’t tolerate cheating. If you try to destroy a cursed card, hide it, or stack your hand unfairly, it retaliates by introducing chaos: drawing two effects at once, combining outcomes, or temporarily taking control away from you. The most dreaded outcome is the appearance of the Joker — a wildcard that doesn’t affect the world, but you. The Joker rewrites your identity, memories, desires, or even form. You may become the very villain you fought, a stranger in your own life, or a new entity altogether — born from your own hubris.

The psychological burden of wielding the deck grows with every draw. You start to second-guess your own agency: Did you change that outcome, or did the deck? Are your victories yours, or merely the deck’s way of preparing you for a bigger loss? The deck subtly trains you to rely on chance, to grow addicted to the uncertainty and excitement. Eventually, you might find it hard to make any decision without first consulting the cards — turning you from a master of fate into a **** of probability.

To wield the Reality of the Cards responsibly, you must learn restraint, trust, and risk management. Accept that some outcomes must be random, some cards never played, and some losses inevitable. The deck offers a taste of divine chaos — the thrill of rewriting fate — but only to those wise enough to let fate have its turn. **** it, and the cards will not only reshuffle the world — they’ll reshuffle you.
