Which Power First?

The Reality Powers / Magic / Quirk / Semblance / Etc

This form of My Law grants its user dominion over the very concept of power itself. No longer are you limited to a single magic system, quirk, or ability tree. Instead, you are given the keys to design your own personalized supernatural framework — drawing from countless inspirations across fiction, myth, or even original creations. Whether you want a complex magic system with elemental affinity evolutions or a quirk that defies causality, the power responds to your will, drafting abilities as if you were the divine author of your own cosmic RPG.

The true gift of this power lies in total customization. You determine the rules. Want your abilities to scale with emotional states? Set that condition. Want cooldowns, synergy boosts, or passive buffs that grow with bonds? You choose. You can build skill trees, hidden unlockables, weapon summoning systems, aura-based transformations — even cross-dimensional hybrid techniques. Nothing is off-limits, so long as you can define it. The more imaginative you are, the more your system flourishes.

But absolute customization comes with great instability. Systems that lack internal logic begin to glitch — powers may contradict each other, or fail entirely. Create abilities without emotional cost, and your morality may fragment. Make a transformation too powerful, and the strain on your body might shatter your soul. There’s also the risk of overlap — abilities that begin to “think” on their own, developing micro-sentience or rewriting you into their ideal user. In some **** cases, a system might collapse entirely, resetting your identity or fusing incompatible traits.

As your power system evolves, so too does your relationship with it. You may start seeing your skill tree in dreams. Random NPCs might appear to offer quests, or strange leveling scenarios could trigger in everyday life. The lines between you, your power, and your story blur, and if you’re not careful, you’ll forget whether you’re still the author… or just a character following prewritten paths. Some users have reported split personalities, where different aspects of their system argue over control — or even manifest as separate entities.

To master this version of My Law, you must treat your power not just as a tool, but as an evolving ecosystem. It reflects your beliefs, weaknesses, and desires. If you build recklessly, the system becomes unstable. But if you create with harmony and intent, you unlock a power that is more than divine — it’s tailored reality, shaped to grow with you, and protect you from forces even greater than fate itself. Just remember: the deeper your customization, the more important it is to remain true to who you are… or risk being rewritten by your own creation.
