The Real Abigail Joins Team Hero

Mel and her group walked into the billiards room together, Leilani on two feet again with the mermaid spell having been reversed by Mel once it had been established it wasn't going to wear off of it's own accord any time soon.

Melanie checked the cupboards and was relieved to find a certain grasshopper was still there, trapped safely and securely in a magically sealed glass jar.

"Okay Abi, time to bring you back!"

Melanie waved her hand over the glass which glowed for a moment or two before shattering, leaving the little insect that had been inside it to jump gratefully free and land at Melanie's bare feet.

"Right, let's hope this works!" the witch concentrated for a moment or two before waving her hands. Seconds later, a fully human Abigail was squatting on the floor in front of her.

"Oh, thank God! I was getting so bored in that damn jar!" Abi exclaimed as she stood up "Thanks so much y'all. Where are the others? Is everyone okay?"

"Everyone is fine" Melanie reassured her "We're split into five groups as Rebecca is hiding among us, disguised as you"

"What? So she's with Sophie?" Abigail panicked.

"She can't do anything to her or she'll blow her cover" Lucy explained reassuringly "For now, it looks like you are going to have to settle for joining our group though - Team Hero"

"Oh, cool name!" Abi enthused "I am honoured to join your esteemed ranks!"

"The catch is that nobody else can see you just yet" Melanie added "I'm going to cast a cloaking spell on you. It means you will be invisible outside of this group"

"You know, that actually might be kinda fun!" Abi giggled "Way more than being a grasshopper was anyway!"

"And because you wouldn't be you without it, here is the final touch of your reversion!"

Mel waved her arm almost theatrically and a perfect replica of Abi's yellow cap appeared on her head.

"Wow Mel, you are getting seriously good at this!" Abigail checked out her reflection in the mirror opposite with an amazed expression.

"She is a lot more powerful now" Leilani grinned "Actually, there are a few developments we need to catch you up on. Let's head back to our room. Looks like it is five in a bed now!"
