"Unknown name, no mistress, no mark, no matching records..." she rattles off from your apparently hastily made file. "Well don't you seem like quite the curious case? I suppose we could always try the direct approach," she says as if you're not in the room.

"What is your name?" she asks in a slow voice like she's speaking to a small child.

"Emilia Stein," you say with authority, showing that she doesn't need to talk down to you.

"And would you happen to be an outsider, Ms. Stein?" she inquires.

"Uh... yes?" you respond, relaying how you came to find yourself in this new strange land.

"Oh my, it isn't every day we get an outsider to visit us," she says with glee. "We'll just how to show you how we do things on this wonderful little island. I promise you'll love it. Now please just watch the screen. Everything will be made clear soon," she finishes ominously as a large movie theater like screen turns on behind her as she vacates the area. At first it's nothing but a blank white screen, but then several images go off, one after another. The line of images continues as a new image replaces the last almost immediately after the first. It takes a moment for the confusion to clear, but then it hits you. They're trying to brainwash you. It's subliminal messaging or something like that. You know that looking away now is the only way to keep yourself from being influenced at best and totally mind controlled at worst.
