If You Like Anyone Else Other Than Fluttershy, I will rip out your ballsack and leave you there.

The Quarantine Hits Hard

"It's sad, isn't it?" Todd asked, looking out of the window.

"What's sad?" Marcus said.

"It's just sad."

"But what's sad?"

"Nothing, life is just sad."

"Is that all?" Marcus asked, annoyed. "If so, I'm going to continue what I was doing before."

A few minutes passed, before another sigh left Todd's mouth.

"What?" Marcus asked. "What's the matter? Why are you sighing again?"

"Life is sad, isn't it?" Todd said, looking dramatically at the fog that infested the city. "Existence truly is meaningless in the long run."

"Why?"

"We live our whole lives, surrounded by people. People who also live their own lives, with their own problems to deal with. With seven billion people currently living on the earth, does one person's dreams really matter? If you had accomplished something of note, who is there to congratulate you? History is made by the people with power, the people with influence. How many things in history were done by people born with privilege or happen to be born at a specific time? Life is truly meaningless when you consider the fact that you are practically alone. Without privilege, without money, without power, without a million other things that are given to you at birth, what's the chance that you will find success in the world? And if you do find success, what does that mean? Does it mean that you will go down in history as a fantastic person? Sure, we can go with that. But we must first remember that memories are easily forgotten. If you were forgotten, that means your legacy as a whole is forgotten alongside it. Gone, your achievements lost to the sands of time. But what's the point in doing anything in life? We should all just die, crawl into a hole and die. We are living in a planet that's dying, our race is dying. What's the point in doing anything if we're all just going to die?"

Marcus drank a cup of water. "Is that all?"

"Yep." And he was back to brooding again.

"This is quite sad," Marcus said.

"Why?" Todd asked.

"Do you have time for a rant?" Marcus asked.

"Always."
