Chapter 3 by EthanRave EthanRave

Who's their new host?

The Purple Rose Witch

"Is there anything else you'd like ma'am?" The waiter questioned.

You turned to him, with light smile. "No darling, that will be all." You whispered in a flirty tone. You gently twirled your new long hair playfully before turning your attention back to the book you were reading. So far you had done it all. You woke up, got dressed, and came to the cafe for breakfast. Just as your host had done the previous day. Some people greeted you but you had imitated her well enough to respond without rousing suspicions.

That's when you heard his footsteps. "Finally found you." Cyno spoke. Ah yes, the General of the Matra. You had always been careful around him. Your work hadn't always been...the kind he would approve but nevertheless you had always avoided him. You looked up to him. "It's been a while, Lisa." He greeted you.

"Good to see you too Cyno." You smiled, an expression that came so easily with the face. "I was worried something awful happened." You spoke concerned. "Don't you know its rude to leave a girl in the middle of date so suddenly."

"Hehe." Cyno laughed. It was not something most would be familiar with. He was always so serious around everyone else, but with Lisa...he was more open. "We weren't on a date. Besides I thought you only saw me as a family."

"Oh, so does that mean I call you baby brother now?" You giggled. He stiffened almost immediately. Clearly he didn't like that option either. It was fun teasing him so easily in your new body.

"Eh, nevermind," He frowned in defeat.

"Oh, I was only teasing, no need to get so Cy-rious." You **** a giggle. It would do good to humor him. "Okay that was bad." You added.

"Well I must admit that one was good." He admitted.

"So about yesterday?" You questioned him. You had a feeling you knew why he left. Afterall it was all your planning.

"A scholar took his life." Cyno said solemnly. He went into some details and you admittedly had to do your best to avoid smiling. Everything you staged for your previous body had gone just as well. The letter, the way you 'faked' your ****. As well as how you destroyed your former lab. All in all you had gotten away without a trace.

"I'm terribly sorry." You consoled. It was easy faking sympathies and reassuring him. You had practice after all. You two talked for a few a while later moving on to more brighter topics. Eventually it was almost time to leave.

"Do you really have to go?" Cyno asked.

"I wished I could stay longer, but you know how it is." You told him. "Jean is probably working herself to the ground right now." You chuckled. Your new memories had shown you the life in Mondstadt. It wasn't as luxurious as Sumeru but it was for more relaxing. You could definitely use it as a vacation in the new body. "Don't worry...I'll be back though." You told him as you up to leave. "I'll always come back." In a different body and in a different life.

Upon reaching to Lisa's room in the nearby inn, you could help but sigh in relief. You throwed her book on the table and casually tossed her hat on the bed. "You're a little challenging to play, but I'm getting the hang of it." You smirked as you fixed your hair.

You smiled playfully as you began to strike some poses, admiring Lisa's now your body. She was the most distinguished student in Sumeru in the past 200 years. Beautiful and smart, she could have it all here, yet she choose to be a humble librarian in some back water country. You never understood why, till you took her over. She had forbidden knowledge in her, and she had shortened her lifespan to get it.

Her carefree attitude suddenly made sense, why waste your time on those worthless scholars when you can just enjoy life relaxing. She was dying so she was making the most of her time, respectable way of living. You almost felt bad for taking her already short life, but well...at least her body was going to be used for something else. Who knows...maybe you can extract that knowledge from her brain and study it later. Her life wouldn't be in vain then, you thought.

But for now...you would ensure her body is isn't in vain either. You disrobed, carefully putting her clothes on the bed, before heading for a bath. Looking down you really didn't need it, but you sure were going to enjoy spending some more time alone in this body.
